With the success of our Tribe Line, this weekend, we are launching another three styles of bracelets and 25+ more sayings, bringing that number nearing 60.
I have been asked which Tribe Bracelets I wear, personally, and what story they tell about me.
I own about eight of the Tribe Bracelets. I wear different ones, depending on my mood that day. However, if I have an important meeting, a speaking engagement or an event, I will undoubtedly be wearing three-- work hard, make good choices, and have fun.
These three bracelets tell my story. It is the story of where I come from and where I want to go. It is an homage and a declaration. It is my life’s anchor and my life’s motto.
My childhood in Boise, Idaho was near idyllic. I had a loving family and a close-knit community. I grew-up playing a lot of sports, mainly basketball. I was never the best player on the court, but much like today, I had a lot of grit and hustle. From grade school through high school, before every game, my dad would advise me to, “Work Hard. Make Good Choices. Have Fun.” It’s how I learned to play basketball and how I learned to live my life.
My dad passed away unexpectedly in 2003, when I was barely 21 years old. Even after all these years, I can hardly speak about him without crying. His impact on my life, and the lives of many others, was so profound. I strive to live my life by working hard, making good choices and having fun. I do this not only because it is sound advice, but I do it to pass on his legacy, and also, to make Bob Erickson proud.
Which story do the tribes tell about you?
