To The Market and The American Dream

"The basis of the American Dream is the belief that with hard work and a strong character, you can achieve anything." -- Jane Mosbacher Morris, Founder and CEO of To The Market

With a mission to "economically empower vulnerable women through artisan enterprise," To The Market | Survivor-made Goods was founded by Jane Mosbacher Morris. To The Market is an incredible online retailer that works with survivors of abuse, conflict, and disease, and provides them with a platform to share their stories and helps them to become economically independent. It's this economic independence that brings long-term empowerment and confidence to these talented artisans.

To The Market provides a beautiful range of handmade goods including -- but not limited to -- bags, journals, shoes, jewelry, children's toys, pillows, and scarves. And as Jane continues to build and make her American Dream a reality, others are able to bring their own dreams to fruition as well:

"The basis of the American Dream is the belief that with hard work and a strong character, you can achieve anything. It's the idea that one day you can own a house, go to college, and maybe even start your own business! My vision for To The Market is to help women around the world realize that this belief is available to them, as well. That's why To The Market is focused on economically empowering vulnerable women globally (including in the United States) through artisan enterprise, so that the artisans in our network can not just dream, but make their dreams a reality."
