Lumberjack Chic

We're not sure when "lumberjack chic" became a thing but what we are sure about is that we are all about it.  The lumberjack chic trend is great for looking pulled together when the bitter cold weather calls for lots of warm layers.  Here are some ideas for how to make this trend your very own.

Ground the look with plaid:

This season plaid is very on trend so it is not hard to find.  Choose a bold plaid to start off your lumberjack chic look.  To keep the look controlled, choose only one item in your outfit to be plaid patterned whether that is your shirt, coat, or jacket.  If you want to go total lumberjack classic choose a red and black buffalo plaid.

Layer on the chunky knits:

Layer your lumberjack chic look with chunky sweaters, hats, scarves, and socks. The key to the look is to overlap outdoorsy warm textures.  This is also your key to staying warm and cozy this winter season.

Add fluffy fur:

Nothing says lumberjack chic like a little bit of faux fur.  Choose one item with fur detailing for your look.

Wear with warm footwear:

Although this is a no brainer for the colder months it will pull the lumberjack chic look all together.  Layer your warm boots with long socks and chunky socks with your booties to get lumberjack approval from head to toe (literally!).

Give lumberjack chic a try during this cold and dreary season.  It might be so warm and cozy that you may never want to wear anything else all winter long.
