Loving Right Now: Knit Dresses

Dresses are a magical thing.  They are the easiest thing you can put on your body because they don't require coordination of tops and bottoms yet they make you look and feel so put together.  Dresses used to have the wrap of only being appropriate to wear for special "dressed up" occasions, but with so many types and styles, dresses are now an everyday item that can be worn almost anytime and anywhere.

Today we are talking about the best of the best when it comes to dresses.  We are talking all about knit dresses.  Knit dresses are the best because they come with a little stretch which makes them ultra comfortable, easy to fit, and easy to dress up or dress down.  Take these lovely floral dresses for example.  These are a dream because they are in soft stretchy fabric.  The midi length makes them perfect for winter and spring.   The best part? All three of these lovely floral dresses have pockets! Not to mention a print that is so lovely it will brighten you out of your winter blues!

Here are some ideas on how to rock your favorite knit dress all winter long!

Layer a Scarf

Add a simple scarf or big blanket scarf to add some warmth to your knit dress. Use your scarf to play with color and pattern.

Top with a Hat

A simple t-shirt dress just calls for a cool hat.  Add a hat and you will feel instantly more glamorous.  Add a baseball cap and layer your favorite sneakers or keds.

Add Some Serious Booties

Dresses and booties are a match made in heaven.  Don't be afraid to go bold with your booties (like these velvet booties, wowza!).  And, don't worry about how high up your booties go, ankle booties to calf booties, they all look fabulous with dresses.

Wrap a Shirt Around

Tie a shirt at your waist to give swing and tee dresses shape and structure.  Have fun with color and pattern.  This look also looks great when paired with sneakers or more casual shoes.
