Here's the deal: I love carbs. Unabashedly, unashamedly, whole-heartedly. And I love them in all their forms. Bread, bagels, pizza, pasta, cookies, cakes, popcorn. I could go on, but I'll spare you the hunger pains. Basically, what I'm trying to say here is that, if asked what I want to eat, I will mostly likely choose a carb. Which is why this shirt is LIFE!
Every week, some of my friends and I get together to watch trashy TV. Our shows of choice are of the Bachelor variety (The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise). Only the best for girls night! Every week everyone makes or buys treats to share. It's basically a calorie binge, with a side of some major laughs and TMI conversations.
Someone always makes a giant bowl of popcorn. Olive oil and rosemary popcorn is my favorite! (Recipe to follow) I fill my plate with goodies, finish them off and then end up with the remaints of popcorn in my lap. I'm always the one to polish off the bowl. It's become my reputation, one I proudly own! I am a carb-loving fool. Try the olive oil and rosemary popcorn and you will be too!
Olive Oil and Rosemary Popcorn (source)
- 1/4c unpopped popcorn, popped in air popper, kernals removed
- 2T olive oil
- 1/2t garlic powder
- 1/2t rosemary
- 1/2t sea salt
- 1/4t pepper
Put popped popcorn in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, mix together oil and seasonings until well combined. Drizzle over popcorn. Stir popcorn with your hands until popcorn is well coated. Taste for seasoning (add more salt as desired).
Serve hot alongside your favorite trashy TV show.
