For today's BOLD AND FULL post, we're featuring Princess Diana (1 July 1961 – 31 August 1997), known for her great compassion and endless charity work.
Princess Diana was born into nobility as The Honourable Diana Spencer on July 1, 1961. Although quite shy growing up, Diana was drawn to music and ballet and found great joy in pursuing those passions. She also was extremely fond of children and took her first job at age 17 as a nanny.
On February 24, 1981, her engagement to Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, became official. Diana was loved from the moment she came into the public eye, RADIATING goodness and kindess. She was praised for her role and example as a mother to her two sons, William and Harry. Diana loved being involved in charity work all over the world, visiting the terminally ill, leading campaigns for animal protection and AIDS awareness, and fighting against the use of inhumane weapons. Even following her divorce to Prince Charles, Diana devoted her life to her sons and many organizations working with the homeless, drug addicts, youth and elderly.
Princess Diana was killed on August 31, 1997, in a tragic car accident in Paris. Though she left this life too early, her legacy of love, style and grace lives on. She is a true example of how to love. “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”
