Today's BOLD AND FULL feature is Helen Keller (June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968), an American author, activist, and lecturer.
“Life is either a great adventure or nothing at all.” Helen Keller was born a healthy girl on June 27, 1880. At 18 months she became sick with an unknown illness leaving her deaf and blind. As a young child, Helen was often called wild and unruly, but her life dramatically changed through the help of her tutor, Anne Sullivan. Helen RADIATED passion and confidence and learned to communicate with CLARITY despite the challenges she faced. She spent her life as an active suffragette, pacifist and spoke for those who couldn’t speak for themselves. Helen shared her story in her book The Story of my Life and used her trials and experiences to help teach others messages of strength, love, and faith. She shared that through adversity you can OWN your story and RADIATE.
