5 Tulle-Cute Easy Costumes for Mom

It's almost time for Halloween! I don't know about you, but I LOVE Halloween. My mom always made our costumes, paying attention to every detail, and my siblings and I had a blast showing them off. Nowadays, I'm making costumes for my own kids (what)! But I still like to get in the festive spirit by dressing up myself, too. Here are a few ways Cents of Style can give you fun, grown-up costume in a snap!

For these costumes, we like the idea of pairing one of our graphic tees with a tulle skirt. If you've got a little bit of time to spare, here's a great DIY for making your own skirt at home: click here. If you're not handy with a sewing machine, Cents of Style has a variety of really cute skirts that fit the bill.

1: Breakfast at Tiffany's (this one is my favorite)
All you need to channel your inner Audrey is a black tulle skirt, a string of white pearls, big sunglasses, our Classy tee, and a black bow barrette. Put your hair into a high bun and add the bow barrette to the front. Add your favorite black pumps and some red lipstick, and you're good to go!

2: Witch of the West

This one is easy-peasy. My daughter is obsessed with The Wizard of Oz, so she'll be dressing as Dorothy Gale. To compliment that, I could wear our new Witch graphic tee, a witch's hat, a green tulle skirt, and grab a wooden broom. Voila! The only thing left of the list would be to practice my cackle.

3: I Want My Mummy

This one is fun and unique. With a white turban headband, an Ankh necklace, our Mummy tee, and a white tulle skirt, you can instantly turn into the walking dead of Egypt. For extra fun, try adding a few strips of red tulle in when making your skirt, or paint on some red splotches to give a bloody effect. For super-extra fun, walk like an Egyptian everywhere you go (and send us a video).

4: To Hell and Back

For a twist on our Give Em Hell graphic tee, you can be a little devil and paint the town red. A flirty, red tulle skirt, with a devil's fork and horned headband complete the look in a jiffy. Black pumps, sparkly makeup, and a messy hairstyle take it to a-whole-nother level of devilish fun.

5: The Cat's Meow

Our last look is a classic, and completely adorable. Any crazy cat lady has to have our Sophisticat necklace and earrings and our Cat Lady tee. All you'll need then is a black tulle skirt and a cat ears headband! To get really crazy, use a black eyeliner pencil to give yourself whiskers, and also grab your childhood plush kitty to carry around with you.

Happy Haunting!
